Sole Proprietor - Timothy J. Ewing Financial Services

• Over 30 years of financial and accounting experience including Tax Return Preparation and tax planning for individuals, families and small businesses!

Tim got his start immediately after graduation from Northeast Catholic High School in June of 1979. He replaced his mother at Fenton Label Company in Philadelphia as Accounting Clerk after his father was first diagnosed with Cancer. After several years of learning the printing industry, and after attending evening classes at LaSalle University, Tim moved from Fenton Label to its sister company, Tolas Corporation, as Credit Manager. Tolas Corpoartion, also in the printing indusrty, specialized in Medical Packaging printing and was headquartered in Newtown, PA. In the mid 1980's, Tim was promoted to Chief Accountant back at Fenton Label and in 1988, completed his Bachleor Degree, majoring in Accounting and with a heavy concentration in Computer Programming, finishing with 3.38 GPA.  

In the summer of 1989, Tim advanced to Chief Accountant at Nannette Manufacturing Company, a children's wear manufacturer, also located in Philadelphia. Early in 1991, Nannette ceased operations and T.J.E. Financial Services was created. Tim married Michele Boyle in the summer of 1990 and shortly thereafter, their first daughter, Shannon, was born. Tim played the dual role of Mr. Mom and entrepreneur for several years as his tiny firm grew in size and clients. The winter of 1995 saw the birth of Tim and Michele's second daughter, Colleen and at this time the firm changed it's name to T.J. Ewing Financial Services servicing several small businesses and preparing 50+ personal tax returns a year.

After growing tired of the problems associated with inter-city living,  Tim and the family moved to Pennsauken in South Jersey. Ewing Financial Services continued to grow and prosper now servicing six small businesses and preparing close to 100 personal tax returns per year. Spring of 2004 welcomed his third daughter, Allison,to the family. However, financial responsibilities forced Tim to re-enter the workforce full time.  The Park Hyatt Hotel in Center City Philadelphia was the first stop serving as the Assistant Controller for this boutique luxury hotel. The experience proved bitter-sweet affording Tim the opportunity to hone his Accounting skills in accounting controls, account reconciliations, segration of duties and management operation reviews, however the time requirement saw the slow errosion of Ewing Financial's client base due to the decreasing ability to service client's needs properly.Tim's fourth child, Matthew, was born in September 2006, rounding out the family at six.

Late in 2007, Tim advanced his experience level once again becoming the Senior Accountant at the financial services firm, Accume Partners, located in Moorestown, New Jersey. Here Tim was given the chance to experience a new industry with all of it's idiosyncrasies. After being involved in a Reduction In Force at Accume, Tim landed as the Senior Accountant at Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, a Non-Profit entity in Burlington, NJ. Tim performed all the Accounting work for 15 Low Income and Senior Housing Facilities spread out over Central and North Jersey.

Ewing Financial is currently growing in personal tax returns being prepared and assisting small businesses with their Accounting, Tax and Reporting requirements. The future looks very bright for this personable and experienced entrepreneur.
